I also found it hard to use and moved on. I have been using ProTools lately but Im thinking of trying Magix Music Maker as a last resort before returning to a Digital work station (BR-8 By Boss). I find the learning curve for the amount of time I have to spend is to sharp. By the time I'm all setup the moment has past and what ever new idea I had has come and gone. I miss just pushing record. I am using windows xp. I am not a fan of vista due to compatability issues. The stuff you are doing on your workstation sounds just as good or better than some of the stuff I have done on my computer using Cubase.
